PRINCE2® 7 Foundation

PRINCE2 is one of the most widely used methods for managing projects in the world. It gives you a structured project management method that uses experience gained from thousands of projects, as well as contributions from countless projects sponsors, project managers, project teams, academics, trainers, and consultants.

The great thing about PRINCE2, it has been designed to be adaptable so that it can be applied to any project, regardless of the project’s purpose, scale, type, organization, geography, or culture. This can be achieved by the following:

  • Separating the management of the project from the specialist development activities, such as design or construction, allowing any specialist activities to be integrated into a controlled environment for the project.
  • Focusing on what needs to be done to manage the project, rather than prescribing how work is done.
  • Requiring that the method is established specifically for the needs and context of the project by the way it is applied and tailored.

This course has been designed to give you a working knowledge of the PRINCE2 method and how to apply and tailor PRINCE2. It is based on the Syllabus for the examination.

This PRINCE2 7 Foundation course covers:

  • PRINCE2 Principles
  • People
  • Organizing
  • Starting up a project
  • Business case
  • Plans
  • Quality
  • Risk
  • Managing a stage boundary
  • Issues
  • Progress
  • Closing a project
  • Directing a project
  • Course review

PRINCE2® 7 Practitioner

Candidates need to exhibit the competence that was required for them to pass their PRINCE2® Foundation qualification, and additionally show that they can apply and tune PRINCE2® to address the needs and problems of a specific project scenario.

At the end of the course, you will be able to:

  • demonstrate a wider appreciation of PRINCE2 skills and know-how and apply this in a realistic context,
  • tailor best practice in response to different project circumstances,
  • efficiently navigate the PRINCE2 7 Official Book,
  • analyze scenarios and assess what courses of action would be effective and appropriate in accordance with PRINCE2 best practice,
  • begin to apply the PRINCE2 method to your own projects,
  • and complete the PRINCE2 Practitioner examination.

Throughout the course you will be looking at the exam and see how the marks are made up with the different learning outcomes.

    • Tailoring to the project’s environment / context.
