Managing Benefits

What are the Managing Benefits certifications?

The purpose of the APMG International Managing Benefits™ guidance and certification scheme is to provide managers and practitioners from multiple disciplines, working in a variety of organisations, with generally applicable guidance encompassing benefits management principles, practices and techniques. Training Bytesize are the only accredited company to offer either online or classroom options for training and certification.

Why do I need a Managing Benefits certification?

Learning how to effectively manage benefits is core to every portfolio, programme and project, as it underpins the reason for change and why the investment was made in the first place. In the changing world we live in, accountability is more important than ever, and delivery and realisation of Benefits is at the top of most senior executives list of priorities. The reason organisations invest in change is to realise benefits, yet it is estimated that around two thirds of projects fail to realise those benefits, because the benefits are not being correctly forecast, measured or managed to successful delivery.

Do the Managing Benefits certifications work alongside other project management methodologies?

Absolutely. Managing Benefits has been carefully designed to complement existing best practice in portfolio, programme and project management such as PRINCE2®, MSP®, P3O® & MoP®. It consolidates existing guidance on benefits management into one place, while expanding on the specific practices and techniques aimed at optimising benefits realisation.

Which study method would suit me best?

There are multiple options available for you to undertake a Managing Benefits course with Training ByteSize. Our online courses are incredibly engaging and use a mix of audio, film, animation, pictures and diagrams; this ensures they are suitable for all types of learners from visual to auditory.

Classroom courses, either face to face or virtual, are great for kinesthetic learners and those who want to engage with the trainer and other students. The learning is intense and therefore perfect for those wanting to quickly build their skills and achieve certification.

Blended learning is a hybrid option which combines these two learning styles, enabling you to prepare for the course with online learning, then cover major topics and themes with the trainer in a classroom setting.

If you are looking to train a team of people, you’ll find that our onsite training is a viable and cost effective option for you. If you would like to find out more about this option please call our team on +44 (0)1270 626330 or chat to us now using the icon on the bottom right of your screen.
