How to apply

To begin your ELCAS claim, click here to visit the ELCAS site and download a claim form.

You must then submit to your ELCAS Education Staff either by paper or electronically 25 working days prior to your course start date and include the following:

Fully completed claim form.

• Full information about the course that you wish to undertake and include details of your registration date where applicable
• On receipt of your Claim Authorisation Note (CAN), you must present it to Training ByteSize who can then provide you with information on how to make any personal contributions due.
• Training ByteSize will then arrange for you to receive all the training materials to begin your training on your start date.

Support for Learners in the event of posting

We recognise that some Learners may be deployed during the course of their studies. In such circumstances, we are committed to providing flexible and responsive support to ensure continuity of learning wherever possible.

This includes:

• Adjusting deadlines and assessment schedules where operational duties prevent timely completion
• Providing remote access to learning materials and tutor support
• Maintaining regular communication to monitor progress and wellbeing
• Agreeing an appropriate plan for continuation, pause, or resumption of training if required

Each case is considered individually, with the aim of minimising disruption and supporting the Learner to successfully complete their programme.

Learner Feedback

As part of your course, you will be asked to complete feedback in line with ELCAS requirements. In addition, we gather our own Learner feedback to help us continually improve our training and support.

Feedback may be collected online during or after the course, or at the end of a classroom session. Your input is valued and helps us ensure we maintain high standards and meet the needs of Service personnel.
