What you’ll cover on the APM ChPP programme
ChPP is not a taught syllabus with an exam at the end. It is an assessment of what you have already done, drawn from the APM Competence Framework, and the programme exists to turn your delivery experience into evidence APM will accept. Across the workshop, the competency review and the interview preparation call, you build a submission that stands up to a rigorous professional review.
The programme covers:
- Eligibility and Pathway 3: confirming which route you qualify under and validating your experience before you commit time to writing.
- Project, programme and portfolio overviews: choosing between one and four pieces of work that give assessors the right context for your evidence.
- Written competence statements: evidencing professional practice against the required competences in APM’s language, not your organisation’s.
- Layout, structure and timing: how to present everything to APM so the submission reads clearly and lands within the word counts.
- CPD and proposers: confirming the twelve months of CPD APM’s scheme requires and getting your two proposers in place.
- The professional review interview: technical knowledge across the competences, plus ethics, compliance and professionalism.
The written submission and the interview are managed by APM. Our role is preparation – a one-day workshop, an expert review of your competences, online coaching on presentation, and a dedicated interview preparation call before you sit down with the assessors.
