Change Management Courses

The APMG Change Management certification is a globally recognised qualification developed by APMG International in partnership with the Change Management Institute. It is available at two levels – Foundation and Practitioner – and follows the v3 syllabus. The core study material is The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook.

The Change Management Foundation exam is 50 multiple-choice questions, 40 minutes, closed book. The pass mark is 50% (25 out of 50). The exam can be taken online via a proctor or in person at the end of a tutor-led course.

The Change Management Practitioner exam is 80 objective questions, 160 minutes (2 hours 40 minutes), open book — you may refer to The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook during the exam. The pass mark is 50% (40 out of 80). Questions are scenario-based and grouped across the five syllabus areas.

No prior experience is required for the Change Management Foundation course. The Practitioner course requires you to hold the Change Management Foundation certificate before sitting the exam. If you want both levels, the combined Foundation and Practitioner course covers everything in a single programme.

The Effective Change Manager’s Handbook is the official study guide for the APMG Change Management certification. It is also the reference text permitted in the open-book Practitioner exam.
