What are the benefits of studying the APM PMQ BOK7?
The APM PMQ (Project Management Qualification) is a knowledge-based qualification developed by APM, the chartered body for the project profession. Candidates will be able to understand how their project fits into the strategic and commercial priorities of the company. APM PMQ is an internationally recognised qualification and the BOK7 is based on the 7th edition of their Body of Knowledge, the most up to date version of the qualification.
The APM PMQ BOK7 (Project Management Qualification) is aimed at those wishing to achieve a broad level of project management knowledge sufficient to participate in projects from individual assignments through to large capital projects.

Who is APM PMQ BOK7 course for?
APM PMQ BOK7 is aimed at those wishing to achieve a broad level of project management knowledge sufficient to participate in projects from individual assignments through to large capital projects. Applicants typically have some pre-existing project management knowledge, although this is not essential.
What is the structure of the APM PMQ BOK7 exam?
- 3 hours duration, including reading time.
- Candidates will be given up to an additional 5 minutes at the end of the exam to collate their papers
- Contains 16 questions – candidates are required to answer 10 questions
- Each complete question carries equal marks (50 marks per question) and it is assumed equal time will be spent on each question
- If you are attending a class, then the APM Project Management Qualification exam will usually run as part of the course
- An online APM PMQ exam is now available
Online exam
APM require a minimum of five working days’ notice to process the request before the online APM PMQ exam can be taken. Please also note that for any cancellations up to five working days before the exam date, there will be a cancellation fee of £80+VAT.

The APM PMQ BOK7 will take around 30-40 hours to work through depending on your level of experience. Plus we include a quiz bank which contains a range of questions to test your knowledge and understanding of the course prior to sitting the official exam.
As you work through the project management course there will be ‘Pauses for Thought’ allowing you to develop the ‘Thinking Process’ which is required for the APM PMQ BOK7 examination. You will be asked to consider topics, their importance and relationships with other elements of project management.

BLENDED TRAINING
Our blended learning solution combines exceptional e-learning course with a virtual 1.5 day workshop with an APM trainer. This solution is ideal if you are self-funding the course or you have a group within an organisation to train.
The e-learning will take around 30–35 hours to complete, and this can be done at your own pace in your own time.
Then when you have completed the project management course e-learning, you book to virtually attend one of our trainer led virtual workshops which will run over 2 days. The timing of those days with virtual workshops will be 9am – 4pm on day 1, and day 2 will run from 9am – 1pm. Workshops in Nantwich and London will run for two full days and the exam will be taken the afternoon of the second day. These will be consecutive back to back days within the working week.

Part 1 of APM PMQ Blended Course – e-learning
The effort required with the e-learning learning is approximately 30-35 hours of self-study time. This will include a mix of video, e-learning, downloads and mock exam questions and answers. A large focus is on ‘Project Management in Practice’. We know that you need knowledge in order to pass the final APM Project Management Qualification (APMP) but it’s also important that people can relate the information to their every day jobs in order to be a more effective team member.
Part 2 of APM PMQ Blended Course – 1.5 day virtual workshop
You will have learnt the ‘knowledge’ part of the course through the e-learning before dialing into the scheduled virtual workshop. The first day of the virtual classroom course is intensive and will concentrate on clarification of the knowledge and validate your thought processes. The morning of the second day will focus on exam preparation to get you ready for the APM PMQ exam. The APM PMQ exam can be taken online at a time to suit you.
